Shaky Sherpa is currently working with the Modi Research Group to provide spatial data, analysis, remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) support for the Energy and Infrastructure Group of the Millennium Villages Project(MVP) at the Earth Institute. He also acts as a liaison between different disciplines within the Millennium Villages projects by acquiring, storing, and providing access to and map outputs of spatial information gathered by different parties during the project. He also serves as a consultant to provide logistic support in developing geo-spatial based decision support tool for energy and infrastructure planning.
Shaky holds a Masters degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems along with a Certificate in Geographic Information Science (GIS) from Lehman College, City University of New York.
