Rahul serves as the Energy & Income Generation Specialist for the Millennium Villages Project. He is responsible for development and deployment of off-grid energy systems that aid in economic development of the communities across the MVP sites in rural Africa. Rahul has nearly 10 years of experience running international projects in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UNB, a Master of Management degree from MIT and has studied public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.
He is part of the Infrastructure Team working with the UN Millennium Project in collaboration with Earth Institute partners: Millennium Promise and UNDP. His work focuses on bringing efficient energy services to rural communities in 14 Millennium Villages across Sub-Saharan Africa. As part of this team, Rahul works on the Solar LED Lantern Program and the Efficient Biomass Cookstoves Program.
